RERE Group receives the two highest GRAND PRIX Awards in the contest “Latvian Construction Year Award 2018”

As one of the two most ambitious and significant projects of the year 2018, the GRAND PRIX Prize was awarded to the first round of the reconstruction of the Song Festival Stage in Mežaparks with the construction of a spectator field. The GRAND PRIX Prize in the framework of the “Latvian Construction Year Award”, an award for “Civil Engineer of the year 2018” was awarded to Valdis Koks for his special merits in the realisation of ambitious objects.

Valdis Koks, as project director, has rebuilt the first stage of the Song Festival Stage in Mežaparks, and still continues this work during the second reconstruction phase. Valdis’ professional view and management have also been important in the implementation of other large and complex construction projects, e.g. in the reconstruction of the Latvian National Art Museum and many other projects.

The nomination "New Building – Public Building" was awarded to the Dubulti Culture and Education Center and Music School that was reinforced by RERE Group. In combination with the adjacent Art School and Central Library of Jūrmala that were built in 2015, three buildings and their courtyard form the Dubulti Cultural Quarter.

A special award for the use of unique and innovative technologies in producing stained glass for Riga City Council was received by the team involved in its construction. Stained Glass "With a passion for free Latvia" is a memorial sign to the independent Latvia that is dedicated to the times of barricades. It is set in the Maria Chapel overlooking the Dome Square.
