The renovated Rehabilitation Clinic of Riga 1st Hospital is now opened

On September 17, alongside with the management of the City of Riga Local Government, representatives of Riga 1st Hospital, JSC RERE Group, the Latvian Association of Civil Engineers, representatives of the City of Riga Council Welfare Department and municipal health care institutions, we opened the renovated Rehabilitation Clinic of Riga 1st Hospital at 5 Bruninieku Street, Building 14A.

Building 14A of Riga 1st Hospital was built back in 1890, and after renovation the clinic is now suitable for providing the most modern rehabilitation services for both adults and children. In the renovation of the rehabilitation clinic, we preserved the historical values of the building. We carried out the facade restoration and renovation works, including restoration of historic blind windows. The roof of the building was also restored. The masonry vaults were restored in the waiting room along with the original cast iron stairs which are comparable to the construction technology and quality of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. We also constructed and finished ceilings, walls, and floors. Accessibility for patients with disabilities will now be ensured by the elevator built into the building.
