The design of Ogre Central Library recognized as the most sustainable design in 2020

On September 2, the conference “Sustainability in Architecture, Construction, Design 2020” took place at the Stopini House of Culture.

The main focus of this conference was on the application of sustainability principles in construction. Along with several other architects, the conference was attended by Valdis Onkelis, the project manager of the Ogre Central Library building, and architect Rūdis Rubenis, who both presented the smart building project to industry professionals.

At the end of the conference, the winners of competition "Sustainability in Architecture, Construction, Design 2020" (organized by the Association "Architecture Construction Design" in cooperation with the Ministry of Economics and the State Construction Control Bureau) were awarded for the most sustainable and innovative design of 2020. The Ogre Central Library project took the 1st place in the nomination “Most Sustainable Design 2020”.
