Foundation capsule with a message for next generations was solemnly immured in new depot building of Ape State Fire and Rescue Service
On 29 April, the foundation capsule was solemnly immured with a message for next generations in the foundations of the post building of Ape, Aluksne district, Vidzeme region of the State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Latvia. This solemn ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Latvia Rihards Kozlovskis, the Chairperson of Ape Regional Council Astrīda Harju, the Director of the Provision State Agency Ēriks Ivanovs, the Chief of SFRS, colonel Oskars Āboliņš, the Chairman of the Board of the construction company RERE GRUPA Guntis Āboltiņš-Āboliņš and the Chairman of the Board of RERE BŪVE Valdis Koks. The construction works with total costs constituting 1,092,437.43 EUR are planned to be completed in February 2017.
The new building of SFRS will consist of several parts – administration premises on two storeys, three garages with full technical equipment, and five storeys high tower. The tower, probably, will be the highest structure in Ape, which will serve both for maintenance of fire fighting equipment and for training needs of representatives of the operational service. The new depot of SFRS will also have a hose lift, complying with modern requirements, multifunctional premises for employees of the rescue service, available reserve electric power supply (diesel generator and UPS device), as well as a device for refilling breathing apparatus.
The following construction works will be performed, during the project: construction of foundations of the depot building of SFRS, wall bricklaying, assembly of metal structures and floor panels, roof insulation and decking, facade finishing works, construction works of internal and external networks, assembly of stairs and railing, interior finishing works, as well as construction of floors.
By signing the message, the Minister of Interior Rihards Kozlovskis wished to all the participants:”... let the new building of the State Fire and Rescue Service in Ape serves well to each rescuer and person. Let the medal of the Ministry of Interior, inserted in the capsule, helps protecting human lives and embodies the values that are necessary for each rescuer – bravery, unselfishness and sympathy. I am convinced, that the professional experience of rescuers, good working conditions and contemporary technical equipment will prevent even more accidents and will save human lives”.
The Chairman of RERE GRUPA Guntis Āboltiņš-Āboliņš inserted the design visualization and technical drawing in the capsule as a testimony of construction of this century, adding that ”…without us, constructors, design sketches and technical plans would stay ”on the paper”, and I wish fervour and energy to all participants of the project for performing their work, so that we could all together give the key of the completed building to its users – professional and brave firefighters – very soon”.
The total area of the building – 1071.63 m²; construction volume – 5643.55 m3
