The author of NRT project is the general partnership “Zaigas Gailes Birojs un Partneri”. According to the plan, the area of premises used by NRT will almost double – from 5,146 m2 to 9,767.1 m2, and additional yard improvement works with area 649.2 m2 are planned.

Whereas the total number of spectator seats will reach 840, compared to previous 400. Namely, three theatre halls are intended – 325 seats are planned in the parterre of Smiļģis hall, and on the balcony – 175 seats, in the large “Black-box” hall – 240 seats, and in the small “Black box” hall – 100 seats. Premises for a theatre café and children's room are planned. Moreover, three rehearsal halls are planned in the new premises – the large rehearsal hall with area 282 m2, and two small rehearsal halls with area 163 m2 and 126 m2.

The second floor, which has been named “Creative floor”, will be entirely dedicated to actors and other employees of the theatre - this floor will have a spacious kitchen for having a cup of tea together, play readings or the generation of new ideas. Whereas the basement floor is planned for a modern workshop.
